To the editor:
As a library trustee, Russ Boekenkroeger will continue to be an unwavering advocate and visionary for the Lynnfield Public Library and that is why his colleagues are requesting your vote on his behalf on Monday, April 9.
Russ joined the Trustee Board in 2014 and was named chair of the Library Building Committee by the Select Board in 2015, serving in that capacity since. Quickly, he was immersed in the task to prepare for the 2017 grant application to the Mass Board of Library Commissioners. Ultimately, this brought a $9 million grant to our doorstep. Tirelessly, he networked and collaborated with fellow trustees, library directors, town boards, and commissions, fellow citizens and organizations, all levels of town government, and led two procurements (owners project manager and architect).
Russ is an individual who has collaborated with all the trustees, as well as the Lynnfield Public Library Foundation, which was created and its role established to support the future of the library.
Russ is a resolute and knowledgeable citizen and trustee. He has used his extensive business experience contributing to expanding and improving library services and operations, revising the library’s strategic plan and delivering safe services throughout COVID.
The kind of dedication Russ brings to the challenges facing the library will be fundamental to securing our future.
Kindly join us in voting for Russ on April 9.
